I love what you interpreted it as. Here's what I percieved it as.

In the world, people try to make you whatever they think is good, which in this case, is boxes. In this world everyone is the same. When you first look at it, everything is okay, and happy. But when you look deeper, there is rage and anger, and they're trying to make everyone like them. And when you try to break free, they go after you, draging you down into the muck they call a life.
